193 new jobs for the Gaeltacht

Donegal Fianna Fáil Senator Brian Ó’Domhnaill has confirmed that Údarás na Gaeltachta will create 193 jobs this year. The Government has granted €2.9 million to the organisation to fund 55 projects in Gaeltacht areas.

“Cancer Services are a key priority for me”

Fianna Fail’s By-Election Candidate in Donegal South West Brian Ó Domhnaill has said that the development of cancer services in his constituency is one of his key priorities.

Senator O’Domhnaill continued, “I will continue to put pressure on the Minister for Health to ensure that follow-up mammography services will be put in place at Sligo General for breast cancer patients who have finished treatment. The delivery of this service is vitally important to my constituents many of whom live only 30 minutes away from Sligo Hospital”.

€250,000 for Gweedore Flood Works

Donegal South West Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill has today welcomed confirmation from the Minister of State at the Office of Public Works Dr. Martin Manseragh TD that funding of €250,000 has been allocated to Donegal County Council for minor flood mitigation works and studies in the Gweedore area.
