Malin Head Coastguard Station to be discussed at Oireachtas Transport Committee Today

Donegal Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill has this morning said that today’s meeting between Oireachtas members of the Head of the Irish Coast is critical in saving the Malin Head Coastguard Station.

Speaking from Leinster House today Ó Domhnaill said; “The Government are using the findings of a recently completed Fisher Report on the Irish Coastguard to push through the closure of the Malin Head Station.”

“Any move to close the Malin Head Station is totally unacceptable and I will be strongly fighting for the future of the Station at today’s meeting.”
