Ó Domhnaill Urges Households with No- Broadband to apply for New Scheme.

Donegal South West Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill has this week urged householders in Donegal with no Broadband Service to apply for a Broadband Service under the new Rural Broadband Scheme.

Senator Ó Domhnaill said; “The scheme will provide a basic broadband service to individual, un-served rural premises that meet the specific criteria of the scheme. “

“This new Scheme (worth € €17.8m) comes in addition to the National Broadband Scheme (NBS) which represents state interventions when the market providers have failed to provide a broadband service to an area.”

“I therefore urge all householders in Donegal, who are unable to obtain a Broadband Service to apply for support under the Scheme. This can be done by contacting the Department of Communication website on www.dcenr.ie or contacting the Department on 01 6782020 or call save 1850678100. The closing date for applications is Friday July 29th.”
