Ó Domhnaill Raises Concerns of Fintown Post Office Closure

Donegal South West Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill has raised his concerns at the closure of the Fintown Post Office with the CEO of An Post.

Ó Domhnaill said: “ I have been contacted by many local residents in the Fintown Area who were forced to travel long distances last week to collect their pensions after the sudden closure of the Local Post Office in Fintown.”

“It is unacceptable that when local people in Fintown went to the Post Office last Friday (21st January)  to collect their allowances that they discovered the Post Office was closed for business.”

“I find the action of An Post to close the Post Office in Fintown to be very unplanned and indeed an attack on rural areas and that is why I have raised the matter with their CEO.”
