Ó Domhnaill Welcomes Re-Opening of Census Recruitment for Donegal

Donegal South West Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill has this morning (Tuesday) welcomed the decision of the Central Statistics Office to Re-Open the Recruitment Process for Census Enumerators in Donegal.

Ó Domhnaill said: “The recruitment process was closed early due to the on-line recruitment process registering the 15,000 applications.”

“The CSO did not obtain enough applications from Donegal and have therefore decided to re-open the recruitment process. I have also been in touch with the CSO urging the organisation to re-open the recruitment process for County Donegal.” ;Said Ó Domhnaill

“The recruitment process will now re-open from tomorrow morning and will remain open until midnight on Thursday night. “

“This will give people in Donegal a second opportunity to apply for a job which involves a minimum of 25 hours per week between March 8th and May 13th this year, mostly in the evening and at weekend. They will be fully trained and paid an average of €2,200. A mobile phone and other material will also be provided.” ; he explained
