SF playing politics while Údarás and communities create jobs

Sinn Féin playing politics while Údarás na Gaeltachta and communities work to create jobs in Co Donegal

“Over the last few weeks, Sinn Féin has repeatedly accused Údarás na Gaeltachta of leaving many units idle instead of handing them over to businesses. They know full and well that many of these units are either being renovated to meet standards required by possible new businesses or have been made available for important community facilities such as a créche and library. In addition, the board of Údarás na Gaeltachta, of which I am a member, has recently approved funding arrangements for new projects which will be going into some of the units.

“Everybody involved in Údarás na Gaeltachta is working hard to bring badly needed jobs to Donegal, something which will be greatly aided by the Government’s decisions for the economy.

“Yet again, Sinn Féin has shown that it sees unemployment as an issue to be exploited, I see it as a problem to be tackled, and the communities of Co Donegal have a lot of natural advantages to draw on in dealing with that problem.”
