Funding Secured for Falcarragh School

Ó Domhnaill secures funding for Falcarragh school

Donegal South West by-election candidate Fianna Fáil Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill has secured a significant funding commitment for increased accommodation at Scoil Fhionain, Falcarragh.

“I’m delighted to confirm that Scoil Fhionain in Falcarragh has been approved funding under the Temporary Accommodation 2010 Scheme.”

“This is a very important development for Scoil Fhionain. This funding will lead to the provision of two Special Education Teacher (SET) Rooms in the school.”

“This is another example of the high priority Fianna Fáil has placed on the education of our young people with special educational needs.”

“I have been working with the Tánaiste, our Minister for Education and Skills, Mary Coughlan T.D. to ensure that schools like Scoil Fhionain remain to the fore.”

“I’m very happy for the school, its teachers and most importantly its students. The increase in accommodation for students with special educational needs will improve their learning environment, something we can all be proud of in Donegal.”

“€579 million has been invested in this year’s school building programme. Education will be the catalyst for Ireland’s economic recovery and we must ensure that Ireland’s high standard in this area is maintained. We must never underestimate the potential of each individual student and I will work to ensure the conditions are right for them to receive the best education possible,” concluded Senator Ó Domhnaill.
