Funding for Fintown Hall Project

Donegal South West Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill has warmly welcomed the confirmation from his colleague the Minister for Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs Pat Carey TD that he has allocated funding of €331,700 or 70%  of the total cost of the New Community Hall Project for Fintown.

Senator Ó Domhnaill said; “I very much welcome this allocation by Minister Carey which follows on from my continuous representations on this particular matter. Having spoken with Minister Carey about the project I would like to thank him for understanding the importance in having the funding allocated to this project given that so much preparatory work has already been completed by the local committee.”

“The New project will consist of a sports hall, meeting room, all purpose room, changing facilities and a car park. The facility will be built on the site of the old hall and Donegal County Council have given Planning approval for the Development. I understand that the construction work can now start on the site very shortly.”

“This project will provide a very important Community type facility for the greater Fintown Community and I would like to acknowledge the exceptional work undertaken to date by the local committee in progressing the project. “
